Skipedia is an unofficial website that provides analysis and visualisation of out-of-merit dispatch ("skip") costs in the GB electricity balancing mechanism.

The Service processes publicly available data from official sources and presents it in an educational format to help users understand patterns in electricity market dispatch.

Data may contain errors due to: source data quality issues, processing errors, methodology limitations, network or system failures, or other factors beyond our control.

Skipedia offers optional user accounts for enhanced features. By creating an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorised access
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

You may sign in using email/password or through social providers (Google, Apple). When using social sign-in, you authorise us to access the account information permitted by that provider.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or remain inactive for extended periods.

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service

• Create multiple accounts for abusive purposes

By creating an account, you consent to:

• Storage of your account data using AWS Cognito in the UK (eu-west-2 region)
• Receipt of account-related emails (verification, password reset, security alerts)

The Service's design, code, and original analysis are the property of Kilowatts.io Limited. The underlying market data is sourced from NESO and Elexon BMRS under their respective terms of use.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
